There was much excitement in our house as we hosted two toddlers this past weekend. The boys were wonderful helpers and were equally enamored by these sweet princesses as we were. While chasing after two toddlers (in a not so baby proofed house) was exhausting, it was also filled with joy. Even in my sleep deprivation my heart was filled! The weekend gave us some much needed practice at zone defense parenting and how that looks for our team. While I am not sure we scored any points with the boys when it came to changing stinky diapers and making sure all small objects were picked up off the floor (at all times) they did rise to the occasion. Shelby and I reconfirmed that we are really good under pressure and work well together as a team, but we did learn a few things…
-our dog is jealous of anyone below 2 feet tall
-feeding four children all at one time is CRAZY
-Shelby is convinced we will need a different car after we bring home #3
-Amy needs sleep or she cries easily (we already knew this)
-toddler girls are just as messy as boys, but oh so sweet!
